The Challenge
Create an interactive experience for Random Studio's 20th Anniversary that reflects the studio's legacy of merging digital and physical realms.
The goal was to design an installation based on the party theme - an uncanny wellness centre.
The Solution
'Inter Facial' is an interactive installation that acts as a digital mirror, but with a twist. Using real-time face tracking and manipulation, it swaps facial features between participants standing in front of it. This creates a surreal, hybrid identity that blends the physical presence of the users with a digital reconfiguration.
The installation invites guests to play with their own image and that of others, fostering connection and amusement. It serves as a metaphor for how we construct and share our identities in a digitally mediated world, where the boundaries between self and other, real and virtual, are increasingly blurred.
Real-time Interaction
The system tracks faces in real-time, allowing for instant feedback and fluid interaction.
Face Swapping
Seamlessly swaps facial features between participants, creating uncanny and amusing hybrids.

Large scale screens setup to immerse the participants in their digital reflection.
